Under Construction
R/V Taani is currently under construction as the first-in-class for the Regional Class Research Vessel (RCRV) program funded by the National Science Foundation, and the next ship to become part of the US Academic Research Fleet under the management of OSU’s Office of Marine Operations.
Delivery is estimated for late 2026, with the transition to operations planned for 2027. Funded science operations will commence in 2028 once R/V Taani receives its UNOLS designation. This page will be under development as the future shoreside site for R/V Taani operations.
