Cruise Plans are required for each cruise. Cruise planning documentation ensures that the vessel and equipment are prepared for the planned operations, that adequate staff is available, and required information is provided in the event of an emergency such as personnel on board, operating area, and anticipated return.
The completed Cruise Plan form is due to the Marine Operations Coordinator no later than seven (7) working days prior to the scheduled departure. However, to allow for the greatest flexibility in scheduling, vessel users are encouraged to submit a cruise plan at least 3 weeks in advance. The failure to submit a cruise plan in a timely manner may result in a lack of vessel availability or rescheduling of the proposed cruise.
It is the responsibility of the vessel user to submit the Cruise Plan to the Marine Operations Coordinator at least seven days in advance of the cruise, and provide completed Release Forms to the Pacific Storm Captain upon embarkation. Medical History Forms must be completed and provided to the Captain in a sealed envelope upon embarkation.
